Control systems
Vertical dynamic systems control the load on the wheels, and can usually cope with pitch and roll movements, as well as the self steering effect.
Longitudinal and lateral chassis control systems are often considered together. The longitudinal systems must regard the lateral stability. ESP for example controls the longitudinal wheel forces to initiate yaw stability corrections.
As a third category integrated chassis control systems should be mentioned. A central controller distributes the well-balanced commands to the actors of subsidiary control systems.
